Alba 7: My Review

Over the last few weeks, I have been debating about picking up a cheap Android device as I have come to miss being able to have access to Discord and Skype much like how I did with the XDA Exec with instant messaging and while my Surface Pro does a good job as a laptop that Windows 10 kinda sucks as a tablet.

While I am still hoping to be able to find a phone with a built-in keyboard I do plan to use this device for web browsing and chatting online for a while but I will one day use it as a secondary device to monitor my servers.

A lost chance at a universal language

This article is not speaking about Esperanto although I am interested in learning this language on Duolingo.

If you are to think about languages that people use what do you think? English? Maybe Hebrew, Chinese or Spanish but I bet you are thinking of a verbal language. What if I told you there is another type of language (and I am not talking about mathematics or programming languages) and I am writing about visual languages such as the British Sign Language.

The hardest part of losing weight

While I will be writing an article that will be published near the end of this year regarding my any weight loss, the diet I am trying and the changes I have made overall that today I am writing about something else I find about losing weight and what I think is the hardest part of the whole process – the people you know.

Doesn’t matter that you want a break

If you have been reading Tweaked for your Pleasure for many years you will likely think I hate children but you could not be further away from the truth. It is not children I hate but rather their parents and sadly I got another story of yet again another parent who likely claims having a child is a miracle just to be the first one to disappear the second someone else looks after the child for a while.

My story begins at a public library that has a computer section, a children section, a reference / quiet area, and a general reading area and in order to kill some time I decided to read a copy of the Torah. I imagine it is the same as in most libraries but religious books tend to be in the reference area which is normally nice and quiet.

So I grab my tablet and boot up Discord, pull out a small bottle of Irn Bru while I put the Torah on my lap ready to read and to no surprise I hear crying. Sadly children do cry and sometimes parents can find it hard to pacify a child but their parent took the child to the reference area away from the children’s area rather than trying anything which seems meaningful.

Chippy paradox

“Bridge Fries” by justmakeit is licensed under CC BY-NC 2.0

Picture walking down the high street and look on the left-hand side and what do you see? Do you see a fish and chip shop that servers wonderful chips that always seem to be lovely? Now look to your right and what do you see? Do you see a place that sells fried chicken? Maybe KFC or somewhere that sells that weird SFC stuff?

Either one that you are picturing you may notice something – why the heck do both of them serve shitty versions of the other. I can not speak for everywhere but I know the local fish and chip shop nearby sells some weird chicken that seems to have been boiled and from what I see this is quite common across the United Kingdom and yet on the other side every fried chicken place I have gone to either serves “fries”, some weird horrible chips, or heck none at all.

Earning money passively is always a good thing and while there are many sources of a passive income most have a high barrier of entry to the point if you are able to buy into that income you likely do not need it anyway.

Honeygain is a passive earner that you can install on your computer or mobile (no virtual machines or datacentres however which is something I will touch on later) with the idea that it uses your Internet connection to download and upload which in exchange they credit your account.
