No one that reads Tweaked for your Pleasure would deny that I am terrible when it comes to proofreading anything I write in Engish but when saying “lol” to everything come back into fashion and more importantly why are people using them in the age of emojis?

Is it just me that find saying the following examples insanely annoying to the point that I don’t want to carry on a conversation anymore?

“I’m fine lol”

“Yes. I am not feeling well lol”

“I tried to tell you I broken everything lol”

I find using “lol” for everything just comes across as a lazy method to try and come across in a light or funny tone and personally I find those that have to write like that normally don’t have much to say at all.

I can understand when typing you can not stress the tone of a chat too much but adding “lol” to every single thing just makes me stop reading the discussion seriously and not bother reading much more into it.

Trust me when I say you do not need to worry about everything you write being taken seriously but whenever you type “lol” people won’t take anything written seriously and nowhere do I want to see “lol” becoming the norm when it comes to punctuation.

Just. Stop. Fucking. Saying. LOL.
