Tweaked for your Viewing Pleasure returns

Tweaked for your Viewing Pleasure
Tweaked for your Viewing Pleasure

After quite a long delay with Tweaked for your Viewing Pleasure I am pleased to say it is now coming back although it will no longer be weekly as originally planned but “as and when”.

Tweaked for your Viewing Pleasure will be coming back in two forms – the reviews and the rants which both have their style of editing and other things I am sure you do not care about.

For the reviews I will be carrying on as I normally have – just get something, whack it in front of the camera and then review it in a half-arse way – much like how Dr Ashens does them which is what my reviews are influenced by. The next one though is the rants and honestly, I figured I would go back to the original idea I had for them – allow people to give ideas!

AOC E2251FWU USB Monitor: My Review

AOC Monitor
AOC MonitorAOC Monitor
Product on the right

This originally was going to be a video review showing me unboxing the monitor, connecting it, installing the drivers and then showing you how it works but then I thought how hard that actually would be hard and a boring video. If you are in a rush then here is the review summed up – it works very well as long as you are using the two USB cables provided.

So let’s get the technical stuff out of the way first. As you have read in the title this is a 21.5″ – 1920×1080 monitor that runs purely from a USB cable (it is a Y-spilt USB cable so actually uses two USB ports on your system) which is very light and allows you to easily add a second monitor to any system that uses a spare USB port.

Becoming a laird

The Much Honoured Nemo of Great Barrier Reef
Laird Nemo of Great Barrier Reef

As of today, I am pleased to say I am The Much Honoured Irvine Carbrey Pal Grant Mac Fhionnlaigh of Kincavel and you all …. wait someone else is already a laird of Kincavel and I can’t use it? Can I keep the Irvi… no okay.

So I have heard a lot more about people selling land which allows you to become a laird – I even looked back at it in 2007 and wondered if it was actually legal to actually buy a title. If you are wondering what I am on about check this link – Buy a Laird Title from a company you think would actually research it.

Comments are a pointless relic

Does anyone even care?
Does anyone even care?

As one of the millions of bloggers I have always wished for people to comment and get involved in a discussion but like a few other bloggers the discussion that relates to the things I write about is being discussed on another website and not my own and again like other bloggers I have tried to get them involved on here.

The more I think about this the more I come to the understanding that comments on most blogs are pointless for a few reasons. The first is simple – most people when they create a blog they are expecting to create a community where people will discuss the subject. That is fine for some blogs but on a blog like mine people visit to enjoy the content and then go on about their lives and if they enjoyed the content then more often than not they will post it on a forum somewhere they often visit and discuss it with “like-minded people” to them.

The wheels on the bus

.... a sight I am sure you all seen

If you are a long-term reader of Tweaked for your Pleasure then I am pretty sure you are aware that I do not like the public bus service that runs near me and yet again today we have another horror story.

So the other day I was coming home from a place that is long dead when I had to get the bus which the school children use. While I normally have no problems with that bus as the children go upstairs and there is room below, I seem to have it on the day when a few people who were getting on the bus had the biggest ego in the world – an ego so powerful that it makes Final Fantasy’s Kefka look like he is a normal jester.

Flick the switch, you dick

It is not often I find something to moan about but I am sure some people driving in cars paid for their licence and not trying to pass it.

For those that drive, I am sure you are aware of the little blinking lights that exist on your car that flash amber – these tell people such as other drivers which way you are going to turn and this also means that people who might be walking or riding a bike can also see which way you plan on turning.

So let’s say you are a driver and you are planning to take a left on a road where you can keep going. You also see a person that is walking and turning around to see what you are doing. Now let’s say you are wanting to go left but do not show which way you plan on going.
