It’s okay to lose weight

I am one of the first people to understand that it is okay to be overweight as long as you are willing to accept the health issues that comes with it and there is no shame in being overweight and anyone who tells you otherwise are people you do not want to associate yourself with but it is also okay to want to lose that weight.

An experiment: Hosting a blog as pure HTML only

Writing on Tweaked for your Pleasure is something I have always enjoyed doing and I feel it is something I will be updating for many years to come but one thing I do hate is how much it actually cost to run Tweaked for your Pleasure.

With this in mind, I am going to do an experiment – I want to host this website purely for free and while I could toss this onto most free hosts with PHP I decided to set myself a couple of goals for it to be successful.

  • It has to run on ANY free web that allows FTP uploading or something like it.
  • It does not have to rely on PHP or MySQL.
  • It must use WordPress for adding new posts from my end.
  • Guests MUST be able to post a comment.

Losing sight

When people start a blog, Lets Play or whatever they normally start doing so because they enjoy it and not start simply for the sake of profit and if you are lucky people will notice what you do and join you with what you are enjoying doing. If you are unlucky then you either carry on doing it because you enjoy it or give up and move to something else.

Over time you will start to get better and better (only have to look at Tweaked for your Pleasure’s archive) and with this you will aim to become better and better. This could mean a better writer, editor, gamer and what not but regardless you will aim to improve on it and this is what will define you.

Happy Hanukkah!

Yes, I am aware there was no actual article today. I was meant to write one but I completely forgot or to be actually honest, I was lazy to do so.

So Happy Hanukkah. For those that wish to learn more about Hanukkah, there is a good article on Snat’s Blog Archive: Hanukkah – The Festival of Lights.

I hope everyone has a good Hanukkah and I will be back in the New Year with new rants, new reviews, new PHP tutorials. I will however be uploading the final parts of Final Fantasy VI Advance (excluding Dragon’s Den etc) and one more Tweaked for your Viewing Pleasure and if you are lucky I may do a end of year special video but I doubt it will be with Popmanw this time.

The wheels on the bus

.... a sight I am sure you all seen

If you are a long-term reader of Tweaked for your Pleasure then I am pretty sure you are aware that I do not like the public bus service that runs near me and yet again today we have another horror story.

So the other day I was coming home from a place that is long dead when I had to get the bus which the school children uses. While I normally have no problems with that bus as the children go upstairs and there is room below, I seem to have it on the day where a few people who was getting on the bus had the biggest ego in the world – an ego so powerful that it makes Final Fantasy’s Kefka look like he is actually a normal jester.

Latest page and mobile friendly stuff

Within the last few days I have been getting some messages from some fans of Tweaked for your Pleasure whom has alerted me that the site is actually kinda hard to read and find stuff. Originally I decided to change the layout of the website so that the homepage is spilt into the different sections – rants, videos and reviews.

The reason for this is the same as I said before – some people only liked reading certain sections, others liked the different sections and while I did put a link to the latest article on the home page, I have seen and been informed this is not so helpful. The reason it isn't helpful is that it only informs you of the latest articles within that section and to check for new content over the whole site you would need to visit each section whcih does take a bit of time.
