If you are interested in the articles I have written about my game time in Final Fantasy XIV – feel free to visit Life in Eorzea.
With Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn released just a short while ago, I have somewhat got back into playing a massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) on a casual scale and as per normal I pick a healer as I prefer them over the others.
After playing the first few dungeons with little no problems and making a few in-game friends within the nice community that the Moogle server has to offer – I started to pick up again something that I learnt in Final Fantasy XI: that the healer seems to be the “mother” of the overall group.
As per what normally happens so often to me (See: Laptops from the past), as of writing this article I am doing some research into a replacement system for my “every day usage” and during my search I finally had the chance to try using a Microsoft Surface Pro and while there was some problems and things I would change – I found the Microsoft Surface Pro to actually be a very good device that I would replace my laptop and tablet.
Now in my reviews, I do not go into all the technical details as I am honestly sure you are intelligent enough to load up Google so I am going to talk about a few things I did on it and if it does it well. Continue reading →
For those that knows me well will know that I hate random lights on when I am trying to sleep and this is the tale of the motherboard that refused to turn off.
For the last few weeks I have been upgrading my PC and although it is not yet done (still need to get more RAM, new I/O panel and what not) the computer itself turns on and works fine although it a very loud device (the I/O panel has a temperature sensor on it to fix this). Continue reading →
If you are a long-term reader of Tweaked for your Pleasure then I am pretty sure you are aware that I do not like the public bus service that runs near me and yet again today we have another horror story.
So the other day I was coming home from a place that is long dead when I had to get the bus which the school children uses. While I normally have no problems with that bus as the children go upstairs and there is room below, I seem to have it on the day where a few people who was getting on the bus had the biggest ego in the world – an ego so powerful that it makes Final Fantasy’s Kefka look like he is actually a normal jester. With the game being released within the United Kingdom tomorrow, I figured I will give you a review based on what I think about the game (good old US versions). The game is basically much like the original Dissidia with a few new people in it with a few people changing sides. Such examples are Cloud and Terra joining Chaos for a bit and Lightning, Tifa and a few others joining the side of Cosmos aside with the original lot who are with whomever they was (other than Jecht whom switched over to Cosmos side).
Now the story basically focuses on the new lot and why they are not in the original Dissidia and focuses on something called Manikins – an army of crystalline clones of the warriors. Story wise, it does follow on directly with the original Dissidia as it is the cycle based before it. If you do not know what I mean by that, play Dissidia again. Now I will not stay much more about the story and will just move onto the rest of it. Continue reading →
