Fallout 76: My Review

TL;DR: It is a fun game as long as you do not expect it to be like your typical Fallout game and that you do not rush right to the end. Update: Everything I said here still applies however this game, at least to me, now only works well as a stand-alone one time play with no replayability or sight of future content. Buy on Amazon

Welcome to Appalachia

If there is one game series I have had a 180-degree turn on with my opinion is the Fallout series. series but before I get onto my review there are a few things I have to say about Fallout itself as this ultimately changes my review and these opinions about Fallout are how I see it – not always how others see it.

The first is Fallout is an RPG game which allows you to decide what your character does with each interaction. Secondly, the same RPG setting allows you to design your character in such a way that for one gameplay you could rely purely on speech, another you can be a person that uses brute force, another where you just sneak and so on. Thirdly what you do in the game has an overall effect on how NPCs and the world react towards you.  Continue reading

Final Fantasy XIII-2 Review

Final Fantasy XIII-2

Final Fantasy XIII-2

The review has been updated based on the United Kingdom’s release of Final Fantasy XIII-2. I am sure anyone that has a brain and who reads Tweaked for your Pleasure would have worked out I would end up doing a Final Fantasy XIII-2 review and with the power of importing, here is the review. The game is based after the events of what happened in Final Fantasy XIII so if you have not completed that, complete it first as it will make sense.

Game play wise, it does play much like Final Fantasy XIII but and I will repeat this once, does not feel the same and unlike Final Fantasy X-2 and Final Fantasy IV: The After Years etc this game actually feels like it is a game on its own and can stand against the game before it. Continue reading

Metal Gear Solid: HD Collection Review

Metal Gear Solid: HD CollectionAlthough I did not originally plan to write a review about Metal Gear Solid: HD Collection, I have been flooded with emails asking what I think about it, I decided it is worth posting here and I am going to sum it up in a few words and then do an actual review below in case you are in a hurry.

If you have the originals, this is not worth getting unless you fancy Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker on the Playstation 3.

And now the review and like any other review, I am going to review the game as if there is no original to compare it too so you get to know about the game itself rather than what “has been improved”.

Final Fantasy VI Advance Review

Well seeing I now have a review section on Tweaked for your Pleasure that is out-of-the-way from people who does not like reading the news or reviews, I may as well write a few reviews now and then while I come up with avoiding writing rants.

Final Fantasy VI Advance
Final Fantasy VI Advance

So to talk start I am going to review a remake of my favorite game – Final Fantasy VI Advance.

Now for those that has been following Playing Games with Snat you will know that it is a remake of the original Super Nintendo game called Final Fantasy VI (Final Fantasy III to those that live in the United States although all future re-releases used the correct number). The game is about the Gestahlian Empire which has the power of Magitek and is slowly taking over the world until a young girl called Terra is freed from their control. Terra ends up into the group called The Returners who then goes on to protecting their home, then all the way to protecting the Espers from the Empire until the world is destroyed and what happens after this I am not going to ruin for you.

Sonic Generation: Born anew

81wF-mnKAcL._AA1500_It is not that normal that I do game reviews but when a good game comes out that I actually enjoy, it is always worth a little time in doing a review for it and for once, a modern Sonic game is actually worth doing a review.

As I am sure you may know, Sonic fans lately has been annoyed at Sega because of random little things like in Sonic 4 if you rolled and did not hold right or left you would stop rolling and all that, that Sega decided to release a game that would please both and it seems they may have done it (this review does NOT include the Nintendo 3DS version, I have no interest in trying that one out).

The atomic bomb was quicker

DNF As I am sure you have heard that last Friday a game was released which has been in development for around 12 years and that game is simply known as Duke Nukem: Forever.

Well this game finally seen the light of day but with the massive hype it got, is it any good. Well, this is my review of Duke Nukem: Forever.

The Review: Duke Nukem: Forever is a 1st person shooter based during a second alien invasion and carries on from the events from 12 years ago (Duke Nukem 3D). Game play wise, it does play well but just as long as you are not expecting to play the best shooter game you have ever played.
