Thirty-mile commute on an e-bike

I am sure if you have read Tweaked for your Pleasure for many years you will know both the following:

  • I love riding a motorbike
  • I love cycling

With this in mind, plus the fact I need to lose a lot more weight – I am 160Kg as of writing this! – I have decided to try commuting to my workplace only by cycling. Back many years ago and I am talking about a long time I used to ride the same route on a single-gear bicycle. This time I am going to be using my Sheng Milo MX02S to do this and will be doing it three times a week.

Losing sight

When people start a blog, Let’s Play or whatever they normally start doing so because they enjoy it and not start simply for the sake of profit if you are lucky people will notice what you do and join you with what you are enjoying doing. If you are unlucky then you either carry on doing it because you enjoy it or give up and move to something else.

Over time you will start to get better and better (only have to look at Tweaked for your Pleasure’s archive) and with this, you will aim to become better and better. This could mean a better writer, editor, gamer and whatnot but regardless you will aim to improve on it and this is what will define you.

Tweaked for your Viewing Pleasure returns

Tweaked for your Viewing Pleasure
Tweaked for your Viewing Pleasure

After quite a long delay with Tweaked for your Viewing Pleasure I am pleased to say it is now coming back although it will no longer be weekly as originally planned but “as and when”.

Tweaked for your Viewing Pleasure will be coming back in two forms – the reviews and the rants which both have their style of editing and other things I am sure you do not care about.

For the reviews I will be carrying on as I normally have – just get something, whack it in front of the camera and then review it in a half-arse way – much like how Dr Ashens does them which is what my reviews are influenced by. The next one though is the rants and honestly, I figured I would go back to the original idea I had for them – allow people to give ideas!

Comments are a pointless relic

Does anyone even care?
Does anyone even care?

As one of the millions of bloggers I have always wished for people to comment and get involved in a discussion but like a few other bloggers the discussion that relates to the things I write about is being discussed on another website and not my own and again like other bloggers I have tried to get them involved on here.

The more I think about this the more I come to the understanding that comments on most blogs are pointless for a few reasons. The first is simple – most people when they create a blog they are expecting to create a community where people will discuss the subject. That is fine for some blogs but on a blog like mine people visit to enjoy the content and then go on about their lives and if they enjoyed the content then more often than not they will post it on a forum somewhere they often visit and discuss it with “like-minded people” to them.

Happy Hanukkah!

Yes, I am aware there was no actual article today. I was meant to write one but I completely forgot or to be honest, I was lazy to do so.

So Happy Hanukkah. For those that wish to learn more about Hanukkah, there is a good article on Snat’s Blog Archive: Hanukkah – The Festival of Lights.

I hope everyone has a good Hanukkah and I will be back in the New Year with new rants, new reviews, and new PHP tutorials. I will however be uploading the final parts of Final Fantasy VI Advance (excluding Dragon’s Den etc) and one more Tweaked for your Viewing Pleasure if you are lucky I may do an end-of-year special video but I doubt it will be with Popmanw this time.

The wheels on the bus

.... a sight I am sure you all seen

If you are a long-term reader of Tweaked for your Pleasure then I am pretty sure you are aware that I do not like the public bus service that runs near me and yet again today we have another horror story.

So the other day I was coming home from a place that is long dead when I had to get the bus which the school children use. While I normally have no problems with that bus as the children go upstairs and there is room below, I seem to have it on the day when a few people who were getting on the bus had the biggest ego in the world – an ego so powerful that it makes Final Fantasy’s Kefka look like he is a normal jester.
