When it comes to films and games revisiting an old world with its history and myths is always far cheaper and easy to do than making up a completely new one – this is why Square Enix created Fabula Nova Crystallis. Now there is no problem revisiting and re-using old ideas but you do not have to keep ending every single game and film with a cliffhanger or setting it up for a sequel when by itself it would have done just fine but welcome to milking things.

Losing sight

When people start a blog, Let’s Play or whatever they normally start doing so because they enjoy it and not start simply for the sake of profit if you are lucky people will notice what you do and join you with what you are enjoying doing. If you are unlucky then you either carry on doing it because you enjoy it or give up and move to something else.

Over time you will start to get better and better (only have to look at Tweaked for your Pleasure’s archive) and with this, you will aim to become better and better. This could mean a better writer, editor, gamer and whatnot but regardless you will aim to improve on it and this is what will define you.

Commentary sync issues

I am sure as a reader you have either watched Playing Games with Snat, heard about it or have found this link via Google as you are doing your own Lets Play or having problems overlaying audio with footage.

If you are having this problem then carry on reading and if not, why are you here?

The main problem most people have (and the same one I did) is assuming that the audio is recorded as a fix length of time – aka if you recorded 30 minutes of gaming footage and 30 minutes of commentary that it will overlay without any problems. This is not exactly true as I have discovered sampling is what really matters and then secondly making sure audio is recorded without any skips.

What if I told you today that you that you have a rare form of cancer but sadly there is nothing I can do in helping you treat it other than end of life care and hope for the best. What if I tend told you that when you went home, you learn on Facebook a friend of yours also has this cancer but have a new treatment that will treat it.
