Losing sight

When people start a blog, Let’s Play or whatever they normally start doing so because they enjoy it and not start simply for the sake of profit if you are lucky people will notice what you do and join you with what you are enjoying doing. If you are unlucky then you either carry on doing it because you enjoy it or give up and move to something else.

Over time you will start to get better and better (only have to look at Tweaked for your Pleasure’s archive) and with this, you will aim to become better and better. This could mean a better writer, editor, gamer and whatnot but regardless you will aim to improve on it and this is what will define you.

Microwave Food: The Week Experiment

A week or so back I did some recording with the help of Wrights Productions and a comment came up that if the owner was left to his own devices he will live purely of take away and microwave food. Now the reason for this is simply because he is very lazy and would prefer not to cook (if he can) but it got me thinking – what would it be like to actually live only eating microwave food.

Now really I should do this for a month but seeing I am lazy and prefer cooking a good meal, I am doing this for only a week and below are the results. This article will update daily. Should note I may pull this earlier if I decide for health reasons it is not wise to carry on. Should also note if you want to read more about possible bad tasting food, do go over to my food review blog at Is it Nice?.

Do Not Type Like This

So I Randomly Got Sent A Message Over MSN That Was Meant To Close And Stop Working Over A Week Ago When We Started Typing Like This And Fuck It Is Annoying To Read, Slow To Type And Overall A Pointless Exercise To Even Bother With As My Friend Would Put It.

I Am Sure You Have Seen Online On Some Forum Or Blog With People Doing This But I Do Not Get Why. Are People Just That Lazy (well Actually It Took Me More Effort To Do This Than To Type Normally) Or Are They Germans Learning English And Do Not Understand We Don’t Need To Capitalise Nouns?

Comments are a pointless relic

Does anyone even care?
Does anyone even care?

As one of the millions of bloggers I have always wished for people to comment and get involved in a discussion but like a few other bloggers the discussion that relates to the things I write about is being discussed on another website and not my own and again like other bloggers I have tried to get them involved on here.

The more I think about this the more I come to the understanding that comments on most blogs are pointless for a few reasons. The first is simple – most people when they create a blog they are expecting to create a community where people will discuss the subject. That is fine for some blogs but on a blog like mine people visit to enjoy the content and then go on about their lives and if they enjoyed the content then more often than not they will post it on a forum somewhere they often visit and discuss it with “like-minded people” to them.

Latest page and mobile friendly stuff

Within the last few days I have been getting some messages from some fans of Tweaked for your Pleasure whom has alerted me that the site is actually kinda hard to read and find stuff. Originally I decided to change the layout of the website so that the homepage is spilt into the different sections – rants, videos and reviews.

The reason for this is the same as I said before – some people only liked reading certain sections, others liked the different sections and while I did put a link to the latest article on the home page, I have seen and been informed this is not so helpful. The reason it isn't helpful is that it only informs you of the latest articles within that section and to check for new content over the whole site you would need to visit each section whcih does take a bit of time.

Lighttpd and JetPack

As you may have heard, the creators of WordPress has created a new plugin called JetPack. While I will not explain it as the link to the left will explain it far easier than me (although this link is a good place to start with: Jetpack to the WP.com Cloud), I am posting about how it may have issues with Lighttpd.

When it first came out I decided to give it a try and it never worked. Posted on Twitter and people advised about disabling cache software like WP Super Cache or W3 Total Cache. Either way, it never worked. The next thing was to disable Cloudflare which also never worked.
