With the game being released within the United Kingdom tomorrow, I figured I will give you a review based on what I think about the game (good old US versions). The game is basically much like the original Dissidia with a few new people in it with a few people changing sides. Such examples are Cloud and Terra joining Chaos for a bit and Lightning, Tifa and a few others joining the side of Cosmos aside with the original lot who are with whomever they was (other than Jecht whom switched over to Cosmos side).
Now the story basically focuses on the new lot and why they are not in the original Dissidia and focuses on something called Manikins – an army of crystalline clones of the warriors. Story wise, it does follow on directly with the original Dissidia as it is the cycle based before it. If you do not know what I mean by that, play Dissidia again. Now I will not stay much more about the story and will just move onto the rest of it.
Yes, there is a “world map” which is based on the original world map in Final Fantasy (I) so do not bother asking that in the comments. The battle system is where the core of the changes lay. Well, not really as not much has actually changed other than a few new features like the assist mode in which another character comes to help you.
Other then what I have written above, I do not know much more to add to it but if you was a fan of the original Dissidia then you will enjoy the new features and likely will enjoy the story too. Well I say you likely will enjoy the story but I doubt so many people actually bother with it too much in the original Dissidia.
Oh and a final note. Terra + Meteor + Holy Combo + Ultima = Battle Sorted … just as long as the now shorten range of Holy hits just like in the original Dissidia. Well, enjoy. If you want to buy the game, click here: Dissidia Duodecim 012 (Sony Playstation).
… wow, After the Deadline spell checker is going anal over the spelling Dissidia.
