Not for sale
Today has been one of those days in which shit just happens and pisses me off. Well today I have learnt that someone tried to sell the domain Snat.co.uk to someone and actually nearly successful in doing so.
As you may know, this domain is register at eNom (via Namealerts) and to what I have learnt is that the person used a @snat.co.uk domain in doing so. Now this tells me roughly whom the person had to be as only a few people have access to a Snat.co.uk e-mail address. The person that tried selling the domain also gained access to the DNS part of the domain and if you checked Tweaked for your Pleasure within the early hours that you was re-directed to some website about SNAT networking.
While the domain is now safely once again in my hand behind a new account in which I only have access too, I am currently hunting down the person whom did this and I warn you now that once I find you that you will be meeting a lovely friend of mine which you can see a picture aside this paragraph.
My advice to the person is this. Give yourself up now while I am still only pissed about it and not when my mind is clear.

The person who done this is now offically a thief and all attempts will be made to capture the individual/group.

This has now been sorted. A friend of mine on whom has a subdomain and ran a forum. My friend tried to sell the subdomain & the forum but couldn’t understand on how to transfer the subdomain and thus given over his details so the person could change.
The person he sold it too then went on to sell the main domain itself. This person is now being hunted down.

All I have to say is that it is okay. While you will not get access to that subdomain as you have no legal right over it, if you contact me by clicking my name at the bottom I can get the forum moved onto a Dot.TK domain for you and redirect the subdomain by using a 301 redirect for a few months so the traffic moves over to the new domain.

First of all, I am so surprised you didn’t comment like this.
Oh wow Jonny I am impressed. Not only do you not know whom was the legal owner (here is the hint train: ME) and therefore the ONLY one that can legally sell it and seeing that I didn’t sell it to you, it actually makes it an illegal sell.
But let’s jump back for a second. Not only did you buy it from someone else whom never actually owned the domain you had the nerve to sell it on without any details. According to the other’s person blog (Ãâ€Ã¶ÃµÃ¹Ãº) that you was “trying” to remember the password to the account and to be honest that just sounds like you was interesting into hacking into my account to steal the domain.
Thirdly, no contracts was made between ME and YOU (well, you may have to the person you sold it too or to the person you bought it from) and therefore I have NO legal reason for why you should be given the domain.
If I recall rightly on that other blog, you sold the domain for £10 so you better pay that back up to him or I am see him suing you and I am more then happy to help him as you have in theory tried to steal my domain.

Well, we can finally end this little saga. I got an e-mail from what seems to be Jonny’s father (called Alex).
According to the e-mail, his father has told me that he has just learnt that his son has been going on this website and have just learnt what he has tried to do.
According to him, he has also tried it on other websites and successfully got the other one he did it on. He also says he will make sure his son never bothers me again and will leave us alone.
So, is this the end folks…

What on earth is going on Jonny?
From supported evidence and a chat with Snat, the domain was clearly sold by mistake from an individual who didn’t own the domain. This is like me going and selling my next door neighbours car without there permission. Of course the neighbour wont give them there car!
I have known Snat for nearly 5 years now and he is very very good at web coding. I have not seen a security issue that Snat has struggled with. I certainly know people who have pissed him off no longer have websites, lets say that.
Now go to google.com and find a domain service, purchase a legal one and start whatever website you wish. If it is that important then you would have done this already?
Before I close my comment, I am not digging into you. I am stating the facts and this needs to end. In fact, It shouldn’t even have started.

If they believe it is good enough reason, they will pass my address onto you at which time you may go ahead and start legal action against me.

I would like to add an update. The person that hacked this website in the year 2006 left an e-mail address and a PayPal e-mail address so I could pay to get my website restored.
Well, after speaking to someone about the time Snat.co.uk and Ellisfamily.TK was defaced years ago. Well this person left an e-mail address on the webpage (and a PayPal link to the same e-mail address). A few days after that, he kept e-mailing me bragging about how he was able to deface the website.
Now we all know the crap that happened with Jonny, but basically I learnt that Jonny sold it to a person who I will not name yet e-mailed me asking if I will sell it directly to him. Well it happens that the e-mail address he used happen to match up with the e-mail me years ago. Seeing this whois details still match up, I am guessing it is the same owner.
It also happen that this person listed his address at the bottom of the e-mail (it seems this person is now actually self employed as web designer).
So keep watching this space, I will update.

Quick update.
For any confused there was two people called "Jonny". The first one did the whole domain thing above and then another one came along spamming me as you lot seen later. The spammer one was some kid at school in the United Kingdom while the other Jonny was a professional scam artist.
