Downtime Notice – 9/02/2012

Posted on February 9th, 2012 - 1 Comment »

I am sure many people may have noticed that Tweaked for your Pleasure went offline some time in the morning only to come back online at a later time. Well, I figured I may as well write why so. Basically what happened is my vps provider called VPS.NET on Feb 8, 2012 decided for a reason I do not know to do a SAN synchronization at the database that the vps is located.

Well this was all good but what happened is the I/O on the SAN unit went nuts and well it crashed a lot of things and forced VPS.NET to ultimately having to stop the SAN synchronization and delay it until a later time.

LAMS back online

As I highly doubt you have noticed nor care, but I have finally got around to looking Look at my Spam back online after it has been down for around three to four months.

In case you do not know but Look at my Spam is a website that is a small project to find how easy it was to get spammed by just leaving one email link at the bottom of a website. Well I can say safety so far with the project, I am getting roughly five emails a minute. Some of the emails are coming from Yahoo groups, random marketing and some people who feels it is funny to email stuff there hoping their email will be published on the website.

Remaster the master

Well it has been a few months from when I said to people on Tweaked for your Pleasure that I will be doing a contest and well, I have no idea what to do a contest about – until today!

In the past I was thinking of doing something like “who can comment the most” or “who can do X the most” and then I was thinking of something like “Try to work out what X means” and while the second one is very interesting, I have found many people simply are not able to work it out.

For anyone that may be following me on Twitter or my Facebook Fanpage may have seen that I am starting to look at the comment section on Tweaked for your Pleasure. The reason I am thinking about the comments is I simply do not see people using them for whatever reason it may be.

So for now I have removed IntenseDebate and have left the default comment form up and running for those that still wishes to comment and to replies to others on it. I am not sure how long I may keep the comments for but if you like commenting, post a comment on this news article and tell me what you like about the comments.
