Tweaked for your Viewing Pleasure returns

Posted on March 5th, 2013 - No Comments »

After quite a long delay with Tweaked for your Viewing Pleasure I am pleased to say it is now coming back although it will no longer be weekly as originally planned but “as and when”.

Tweaked for your Viewing Pleasure will be coming back in two forms – the reviews and the rants which both have their own style of editing and other things I am sure you do not care about.

For the reviews I will be carrying on as I normally have – just get something, whack it in front of the camera and then review it in a half arse way – much like how Dr Ashens does them which is what my reviews are influenced by. The next one though is the rants and honestly I figured I would go back to the original idea I had for them – allow people to give ideas!

Ask Snat

Posted on January 22nd, 2013 - No Comments »

I am sure you are aware of the new “thing” going around on Tumblr which is basically a ask a question website (much like Ask a Jew), I am starting one up as I have been receiving a few questions lately that is now extending beyond my FAQ section.

If you wish to ask me a question then please do go over to Ask Snat and I will be more than happy to ignore you much like my contact form. Within a few weeks I will be removing the FAQ section and all questions will be over at Ask Snat simply so I can clean up the room used on the top of my website.

Happy Hanukkah!

Posted on December 8th, 2012 - 3 Comments »

Yes, I am aware there was no actual article today. I was meant to write one but I completely forgot or to be actually honest, I was lazy to do so.

So Happy Hanukkah. For those that wish to learn more about Hanukkah, there is a good article on Snat’s Blog Archive: Hanukkah – The Festival of Lights.

I hope everyone has a good Hanukkah and I will be back in the New Year with new rants, new reviews, new PHP tutorials. I will however be uploading the final parts of Final Fantasy VI Advance (excluding Dragon’s Den etc) and one more Tweaked for your Viewing Pleasure and if you are lucky I may do a end of year special video but I doubt it will be with Popmanw this time.

Tweaked for your Listening Pleasure

Posted on August 12th, 2012 - No Comments »

Just a bit of news today. First thing first, Tweaked for your Listening Pleasure has officially opened although there is a lot of work left to do in its actual planning. It is currently playing loads of things you likely never heard of before and in future, will have some shows from people you do not care about.

So come on over and listen and all that good stuff.

The second thing is a tiny poll. If you float around on the Facebook or Twitter fan pages, you may notice there is a picture of a puppet of a dolphin which is nameless. If you have any ideas of any names, please do post them in the comments below and I will whack up a poll with the names.

Farewell WordPress email updates

Posted on August 4th, 2012 - No Comments »

It has been a few months now from when I started using WordPress Jetpack for email updates and honestly, it sucks. I am unable to limit which post it sends out, which categories and hell, I can’t delay the sending of it.

What this means is I am switching back to Feedburner for email updates. Now I have seen that there is actually more people on Feedburner than WordPress Jetpack but for those that may have never signed up for the old Feedburner emails you can do so here: Subscribe to Tweaked for your Pleasure by Email.

I will be updating the site to change the email subscription to Feedburner but will be enabling it for the next article. I will leave the old one running for a while and then will slowly get rid of it. I would import the old emails myself, but ethically for those that didn’t sign up for Feedburner would be signing up for something they never want and that is spam.

Latest page and mobile friendly stuff

Posted on June 6th, 2012 - No Comments »

Within the last few days I have been getting some messages from some fans of Tweaked for your Pleasure whom has alerted me that the site is actually kinda hard to read and find stuff. Originally I decided to change the layout of the website so that the homepage is spilt into the different sections – rants, videos and reviews.

The reason for this is the same as I said before – some people only liked reading certain sections, others liked the different sections and while I did put a link to the latest article on the home page, I have seen and been informed this is not so helpful. The reason it isn't helpful is that it only informs you of the latest articles within that section and to check for new content over the whole site you would need to visit each section whcih does take a bit of time.

PGWS Challenges #1

Posted on June 3rd, 2012 - 5 Comments »

With the lack of entries yet people telling me they are going to enter, I am going to extend this to the end of July. Get those footage in asap.

It has been a very long while from when I done a contest on Tweaked for your Pleasure but from feedback related to my puzzle ones, I have decided instead to do a gaming related set of contests this time which I am now calling PGWS: Challenges.

So lets kick the ball and get started.

You will need the following:

EU Cookie Law

Posted on May 29th, 2012 - No Comments »

It has been quite a long time from when I have written a news update. As you may have seen by now unless you are one of the few that gets email updates, there is a new pop up on the bottom left that is alerting you about cookies. The reason for this is simple that the EU decided to bring a new law in to help privacy but their solution is like nuking a nuclear weapon that is about to be used on another nuclear weapon – pointless and useless.

Aside from this this alert will only pop up once when you first ever visit the website and will never bother you again. Naturally the pop up explains how to opt out of all the cookies and all that so it is worth a look if you want your privacy.
