In the past I was thinking of doing something like “who can comment the most” or “who can do X the most” and then I was thinking of something like “Try to work out what X means” and while the second one is very interesting, I have found many people simply are not able to work it out.

So I thought for some time what could be a fun contest which would both be interesting to see and would actually allow people to think but also for anyone to enter. With all this in mind I have decided to start a contest so welcome too….

Remaster the master in January 2012

The idea of the contest is very simply – all you do is take something I have written, reviewed or rant about and then change it in any way that makes it better than the original. So if you wanted to let say take any of my articles such as Zombies Apocalypse and then either do something like rewriting it, or heck even turning it into a video.

How you change it is purely up to you as long as it is related to the content that is found on Tweaked for your Pleasure. You have until the end of next month. Please send everything to me. So if you do an article, email it to me. If you make a video then upload it to somewhere like Rapidshare and then email it to me – you get the idea.

The winner will be picked by me, so go.

Kentucky Salty Chicken

As many people may know from reading Tweaked for your Pleasure, I do tend to eat a lot of fast food and other non healthy food. I am sure many of the reasons why people do tend to these food like this is mostly for two reasons;

1. They do not have time to make healthier food (although it is NOT that hard nor long to do).
2. They believe that the “healthy” food does not taste as good.

While I can understand the first option, it is the second option I do not understand. While I will agree food like that does taste very nice but it does not last. Now I am not sure if I am the only person who this happens too but when I am eating something like chips & cheese that I will enjoy while a lot of it but after a while I start to get a salty sickly taste that will start to appear.

While I am sure people will say this will happen to any food, I have found out that if I eat what people “believe” as healthy food I tend to find that I enjoy every bite until the end and this is regardless how much of it I actually eat.

So if this is the case with many people – what I can not figure out is why would you prefer eating non healthy food over healthy food when ultimately that healthy food ends up always tasting better. Sure I can understanding having the “non healthy” stuff in small doses or with the healthy food but why keep eating the non healthy stuff when it end up tasting worst then the healthy stuff?

So what is your reason for it. Do you prefer healthy food over non healthy food, or do you just eat whatever you can find in the cupboards?

Final Fantasy XIII-2

I am sure anyone that has a brain and who reads Tweaked for your Pleasure would have worked out I would end up doing a Final Fantasy XIII-2 review and with the power of importing, here is the review. Please be aware that this review is based from the Japanese version of Final Fantasy XIII-2 and the review will be updated once I have played an English version.

The game is ultimately based after the events of what happened in Final Fantasy XIII so if you have not completed that, complete it first as it will make sense. Game play wise, it does play much like Final Fantasy XIII but and I will repeat this once, does not feel the same and unlike Final Fantasy X-2 and Final Fantasy IV: The After Years etc this game actually feels like it is a game on its own and can stand against the game before it.

Anyhow, lets talk a little about the game in relation to the story. The story itself takes place 3 years after the final events of Final Fantasy XIII in which Ragnarok prevented Cocoon from being destroyed and the main characters being freed from being a I’Cie with one of those characters being Serah – the main person you play as within Final fantasy XIII-2 and Vanille and Fang now gone from the world.

However it is discovered that due to Orphan’s defeat, something odd happens which brings a side effect which causes Lightning to be lost from time and go to Valhalla which is ultimately the driving point of Final Fantasy XIII-2 with Serah travelling over time to look for her, believed to be dead, sister.

Have I confused you yet? No good. Now I will not ruin the whole story for you but the game itself involves around time travelling and fixing paradoxes that is being caused by a reason I am not going to explain.

Now enough about the story. The gameplay wise the game plays much like Final Fantasy XIII with elements of time travelling, mini games and other features. The battling within the game works mostly the same with you having to select your paradigms between Serah, Noel and other monsters you find within the game such as a Chocobo that I keep using. There is also a new thing called Feral link but I will not get into that.

So overall, what do I think about the game. I myself feel that you need to have actually completed Final Fantasy XIII and understood it to actually get the best value from Final Fantasy XIII-2 but in itself, it is still a great story for those that have not played the first one.

So for now I have removed IntenseDebate and have left the default comment form up and running for those that still wishes to comment and to replies to others on it. As I said before to people – I have nothing wrong with people who wish to comment but the website is starting to look empty with blank comments and yes, that is my reasoning on why to remove it. Another reason is simply because I get so much spam and little legit comments I am starting to feel it is not worth having the comments and then there is the issue with people emailing me their comments rather than using the comment form.

If you have the originals, this is not worth getting unless you fancy Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker on the Playstation 3.

And now the review and like any other review, I am going to review the game as if there is no original to compare it too so you get to know about the game itself rather than what “has been improved”.

Metal Gear Solid: HD Collection includes four games from the well-known series called Metal Gear Solid and each game carries on its own story (although it does miss a part which the very first two games was about but we will ignore that) that starts with a CIA agent called John Doe who goes onto becoming a legendary solider called Big Boss who ends up turning to terrorism to “save” the world. Confused? If so, play the game the stories in itself is worth it although you will need to buy Metal Gear Solid 4 to see how it ends.

Each of the games within the series have one thing in common and that is you are an agent of some kind and you need to sneak around and complete your mission without getting caught (although you can always just shoot your way out) but the idea of the games is you do it like the professionals do in real life. While the sneaking part in Metal Gear Solid 2 was not exactly “that good”, it does become far better in Metal Gear Solid 3 where you actually have to plan ahead on the harder modes.

I will not go into the plot of the series as Wikipedia will do that for you but I can go into the game play of the series. As I said earlier the main idea of the games is to stay hidden and carry on the mission you have been given. The mission you are given always ultimately ends up being “QUICK SNAKE DESTROY YET ANOTHER NUCLEAR LAUNCHING THINGY THAT WE KNEW ABOUT BUT DID NOT TELL YOU”.

Right suppose I best talk about what has changed. Well ultimately these have been “upscaled” to HD resolution which is basically the main selling point of Metal Gear Solid: HD Collection there has been some frame rate fixes at certain parts of the game. While they have included the extra stuff like Snake Tales, they have removed some content which was in the originals but I will leave these to find for yourself.

Next is the lack of the original Metal Gear Solid. You would think they would just release Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes as a part of this and then “upscaled” that to HD but rather they decide to leave it out for whatever reason it may be as I am to lazy to research why.

So lets wrap this review up. If you have the originals then there is little point in this. Unless you do not owe these games or you just like having the game on another console or one of the people who keeps buying remastered games that just been “upscaled” to HD then get it.

As I am sure you know Jesus is a central figure within Christianity and Christians views him as the Messiah that is foretold within the Tanakh that was born in roughly c. 5 BCE and died roughly in c. 30 CE (or AD if you prefer) and Christians believe he is the son of G’d. Christians also believe he provided salvation and reconciliation with G’d to the whole of mankind by dying for their sins and then ultimately raising himself from the dead. Oh and he is important to the Islamic faith but no one really gives a shit about them.

Even if you was not the son of G’d or if you was not even real, you have spread a message of peace and hope to many and that is enough for me to say happy birthday to you.

So a message to all peeps out there on Tweaked for your Pleasure which is – Merry Christmas everybody and none of that sessions greeting crap. Rather then checking Tweaked for your Pleasure just go out and see your family, your friends and anyone else you may know. Even go and visit that person down the road who may not meet anyone else otherwise.

Just remember not everyone has someone to see,  so go on and meet them and give them a Christmas to remember. Oh and do remember there are some people still on Just a Community so do drop off a Merry Christmas or two there.

It is this time again where Hanukkah comes around and everyone plays with dreidels and bet chocolate coins and quietly wishes the other player messes up so you get to eat all of their coins and then find out those was real ones.

The code below is what is being inserted into index.php files. So far I have not seen it attack any other pages.

However with that said, lets see what this PHP code is doing and hopefully what you can do about it.

As you can see this is clearly just a encoded PHP script – much like the same I do on Can you work it out. So if we just decode it, we now get what the server is actually executing.

As you can start to see – it is not starting to look like a nice bit of code anymore. Basically what this code is doing is avoiding search engines and only showing its links to real actual users. You can see this by the first bit of the command that is searching for the user agent from well-known search engines and if they are the ones that requested the page, then to skip that user.

As you can see, there is another base64 code in there. So what happens if we decode it again.

As you can see it is embedding Javascript. Now I have been too lazy to actually read the Javascript to work out what it is doing (a quick look at it shows it is redirect legit users of a website) but I will do so at another time. Now chances are you have found this article due to getting attacked by this so lets talk a little about clean up.

I personally would advise to replace ALL of your website with fresh new files from backups you “should” be making. I am betting that you have tried to remove the code from index.php only for it to come back a few hours later. The reason for this is a back door has been created into your website where a script is running every few hours which is replacing this code and also updating it for new websites to redirect your legit users too.

Sadly however I am unable to tell you which files they hit purely because it is mostly random. Instead if you have access to anything that can search files you are able to find this out for yourself. While there are many reasons to use the follow commands, if you do a search for them you will find the files it is using.

Once you have found these files then remove them and as long as you got them all – it will not come back yet. Then make sure to upgrade every script you are using such as if you are using WordPress then to upgrade to the latest, including all of its plugins etc. Then make sure to change every password such as FTP (although you should at the very least be using sftp), SSH, MySQL Databases and the likes.

Should it pop back – the problem is bigger then that and you should go running to your hosting support. If you are on shared hosting and it keeps happening after upgrading everything, changing all passwords etc then it may be time to look for a new web host – the problem is quite likely with them and not you.

So the other day I had one of these rare trips into Grantham where I actually use a car. Anyhow I finally found a car park on the side of the street at which point I parked. The person in front me had loads of room to move out and also had loads of room so others could park in front of the person.

So after parking, I went off to do some shopping in the local shops and then pop into the library so I could relax for a little bit (as a side note, while I was in the library there was a child that kept streaming at me wanting to use the computer I was on who went on to say “WAA WHAT ARE YOU DOING IS NOT IMPORTANT – I WANNA PLAY GAAAAMMMMMEEEEEESSSS”)

Finally after a little bit of time shopping, I finally return back to go home when I find a women parking right behind where I was parked. Now there was still tons of room in front of the red car AND there was loads of room behind me but no, a women decides to park right behind me leaving me something of “1~3cm” of room to get out.

Now I do not know if it was her ego or pride, but when I walked over to her car as she was just getting out I asked if she could move back a little and the following happened.

Me: Hey. Sorry to bother you but do you mind if you can move your car back a little bit. It is kinda hard to get out without damaging any other of the cars.

Her: Why the fuck should I move for you. Your fucking fault for parking there.

Me: Are you aware there is loads of room behind you and you could easily just move back a bit.

Her: Yes but why the fuck should I fucking move for you. I like where my car is parked so what are you fucking going to do about it.

Me: I will smash your window open, put it into neutral, release the hand brake and push your car into ongoing traffic.

Her: HA ! I will just break your fucking back then.

Me: I will make sure to push you with the car, if I can.

It was at this point she started yelling to herself about everyone is against her and that no one is nice anymore and that she had to “find a new fucking parking place” as there was some insane person threatening her. So rather than just moving her car back a little and allowing me to move out she decides to park right behind me so I can not move out and then decides she is the queen or something when I ask her if she can move a little.

So I am just going to say this to everyone. If you want to park right behind someone so they are unable to get out then do not be surprised if you find your car was at a scene of a crash. Sure I can understand parking is very limited but parking so others can not get out and then actively refusing to move to let that person out just means you are just a waste of oxygen to the rest of us.
