Science will never die

January 10th, 2010 Snat Posted in Science 1 Comment »

I was asked this interesting question by a friend of mine which was this;

Is it possible for Science to die ?

Well, I was thinking about this and to be honest, no science can’t and never will die. Science itself is just a process of gaining knowledge via the scientific method of pretty much anything that can be repeated. An example is that if you rid two wooden sticks together (under certain conditions) then fire will be “created”.

One answer is never the answer

August 8th, 2009 Snat Posted in Science, religion 3 Comments »

History has shown us many things. It has shown us patterns, it has shown us the answers to many questions that humans has asked. However, history has shown us one thing. It has shown us that a single answer is never the answer. I bet that what I have just said is confusing and it isn’t really. I am going to just take two examples – Religion and Science (oh boy, I wonder where this is heading …).

Religion has given us the answer to our questions however that answer in itself was answered many times. Different religions fight over what they believe to be the correct answer. Some people say that the answer is right while others says the answer is wrong. War starts over that. It is easy to say that religion only causes war but that isn’t true. Religion is a matter of faith.

And yet people still thinks Maths is useless.

Many, many years ago, I can still remember my Math’s teacher will always debate with my Science teacher about who field of expertise is the more pure.

Even to now, I have always sided that maths is the more pure (You can tell what I am best at can’t ya ;) ). Anyway, below is a little comic that shows what I mean. (Click it to make it bigger).

xkcd

This comic comes from xkcd. This comic may also have a different licence for use then Snat.co.uk.
