The Tolerance for Intolerance

I would like to first welcome Arjen from Endless Rambings to Tweaked for your Pleasure and as you know I have not done some articles lately, so he has kindly done a article for us today.

Good day, everyone.

In the wide world we live in, humans are hateful toward each other. Violent actions and deadly weapons are employed to satisfy this hate.

It’s easy to write any such actions off as being wrong.

But what if a friendly gesture- one that displays respect and altruism- becomes a potential threat? Or at the very least, a hindrance?

What has happened to life?

Do you ever think to yourself, “what has happened”? All the things that were once great in life are being ruined. Here I want to address some of these issues.

Language and jokes. We all know that the 80 and 90 contained language that would be forbidden in today society. But this language was not an issue back then so why should it now? Okay, I understand that there has to be a line that cannot be stepped over, but it has gone too far. The term “language” spans many areas, including racism. Due to extreme political correctness, various terms are becoming forbidden and in the long run has started to affect lifestyles. The majority of those who it is supposed to offend do not always find it offensive and also believe things are going too far. Because of this fact, I fail to see why political correctness is becoming more and more extreme. With the ban on classic nursery rhyme Bah Bah Blacksheep, the term Blackboard in schools and the name Christmas Holidays, it is something you would think unimaginable in the 80 and 90. What about whiteboard and names of other religious festivities? Public are not to blame, it is the government strategy. Jokes have also downgraded, with comedians having to be careful and presumably making them hate their jobs.

Dreams, or in a sense, aspirations, what are they really?

Guest Post written by Matt Quinn.

An aspiration, is something we desire in our lives, like a day to look forward to in the future. It doesn’t matter what it is really, as long as we have one, its what keeps us….human. You might say you don’t have one, or that you don’t need one, but thats not really true, we all have aspirations, everyone of us, no matter how little or small they are. It’s how we are designed.
