If you was a member of Ellisfamily.tk, Ultima Forums, Ultima Development Laboratories Community in it’s early days while it was still online, Wrights Productions, Mario Portal / Nintendo Portal after me and Adam brought the website – that you would have used MkPortal.

MkPortal was a portal / CMS system that used a forum for it’s backend. This allowed it to be used with many forums such as SMF, phpBB, vB and IPB and while it did have quite a few limitations, it was also a good-looking system and worked well.

To be exact, this is what MkPortal Development Staff said about it;

MKPortal is a free Portal/Content Management System (CMS) which seamlessly integrates with the most popular forum softwares (Simple Machines, Invision Power Board 1.3 and 2.x, phpBB, MyBB and vBulletin). As you may know, Geocities is no longer allowing any new signups to it. Geocities was a very basic free webhost in which you could just host HTML pages. I used it myself for one site and later on this year, there will be a notice on how to move all your files over to their paid Yahoo solution (I wouldn’t advice it however).

So, what can you do in the mean time ?

I am sure that quite a few of you have heard that Isaac Hayes has died and I would just like to take a min to say may the man rest in peace and wherever you are, I hope you are doing okay.
Isaac Hayes was a singer, however I didn’t know him as a singer but as the person that was the voice for “Chef” is South Park. While Isaac has a issue with Matt & Trey, we still have to reflect on what he did.
