The wave has hit the shore

Google Wave - Flopped like the logo

I am sure many of you … I mean a few of you may have heard of something known as Google Wave. Google Wave was an idea of Google’s in which they would bring together all the different parts of communications in the whole that it would actually replace e-mail and Google as sadly mistaken.

While I do agree with a replace for e-mails should be developed but it seems Google was mistaken in how well it would kick off. One of the first major mistakes was never integrating into Gmail which meant that Gmail users had to sign up for it themselves with a completely new address. While I was using Google Apps and I could use the same address for both, Gmail users couldn’t.

Is Internet included with that ?

Ahh yes the Internet. One of the first things I do as soon as I sign online is turn on my computer and then connect to the wireless network. After that I fire up my mail client and wait for all my e-mails to download. After that, I then go and check a few news feed and a few of my websites such as comments for Tweaked for your Pleasure, new questions on Ask a Jew, new submissions on Submit for your Pleasure and a few other websites.

Career: What to Expect in 2010

Dear readers,

The time has now come when I have ended my additional education in my field of choice. I have successfully completed a BTEC National Diploma for I.T. Practitioners course, a Diploma of Higher Education in Web Technology and a Bachelor of Science (Honours) degree in Web Technology (the latter, I hope anyway). Throughout my educational rein, I have always been caught up in the rule changes for the worse. I did English GCSE when the rule came in so you couldn’t take in your poetry anthology into the exam. I did the BTEC IT course and the following year it was restructured with more media-based units that I would have enjoyed. The degree course changed its CAT points scoring system so all that is now different. SO what next? Well now I have finished education and the job market has crashed here in the United Kingdom.
