The cheese is there somewhere, honest.
The first of many reviews to come and this one comes from the massive wonderful supermarket chain known as ASDA. For those that do not know that quite a lot of the different ASDA supermarkets offers food which is done by a different company whom name escapes my mind right now.
Nonetheless, I decided to give their chips and cheese a try although I suppose technically it should be called cheesy fries. I am not going to talk about service as everything I am reviewing is cheap food and seeing food will range from a single British Sterling to a few pennies that it would be unfair to comment on any service.
… no it isn’t.
For anyone that joined my Facebook page may remember that quite a few years ago – way back in 2012 I seem to recall I started a small food related blog reviewing cheap and bad food.
Well for anyone that knows me well will know the blog never “really” kicked off that well and I never got around to updating as much as I would have liked too.
The good news is I decided to restart it as a category on Tweaked for your Pleasure and will be bringing over the old reviews and will be doing new ones as I find dodgy looking food, shady shops and so much more!
How our schools have failed.
Last year has been very interesting in the world of politics and as I am sure so many people who visits Tweaked for your Pleasure will have joined a debate about politics without knowing anything about it but the sad part is just how little informed people are when it comes to how the world works and you can debate it is by design but it is a shame nonetheless.
Let’s take a couple of topics that people face every day and I can bet you that the school you went too likely never even covered the topic in much detail and focused purely on “academic topics”. The first topic I will pick on is the one in the first paragraph – politics.
So with a new year upon its, people all around the world has already broken the promises they made to themselves about changing themselves and like other people I have a few. The one I am going to share on Tweaked for your Pleasure is not about losing weight (although that is the main one I am going to be doing) it’s about the reasons why I am aiming to go vegetarian as much as I can this year.
The primary reason and you might not be surprised about this knowing about myself but it’s so I am able to keep kosher as much as “reasonably possible”. The reason for this is all vegan food is kosher by default as it does not have any animal products thus you do not need to worry about how the animal was killed nor worrying about mixing up dairy and meat products.
For anyone that has a Netflix account you will know how easy it is to get lost in an endless amount of films and TV series so expect quite a few reviews to come out – although I am looking to change how these emails are sent out for those that ain’t interested in reviews.
Anyhow, this review is about The Dictator which is a comedy about a brutal Dictator of an eastern African country called Wadiya who is your typical sexist, anti-western and antisemitic leader who want to develop nuclear weapons to wipe out Israel … although he isn’t really good at doing anything and has an uncle that wants to kill him.
The memories of Command & Conquer … yes I know it OpenRA before you ask.
If you was to ask me what type of games I prefer and enjoy the most you may be surprised to hear my answer would be Real Time Strategies.
I can still remember all the many upon many hours I spent playing all the different versions of Command & Conquer, Age of Empires, Rise of Nations, Starcraft and quite a few more but it is sad nowadays to see the online communities for this genre of game is slowly disappearing and even the likes of OpenRA, C&CNet and smaller communities are disappearing.
Short of living under a rock for the last year, I’m pretty sure you have heard all about the Olympic games and that the Paralympic games are now started and not too surprisingly there seems to be a lack of interest in it … and I’m not that surprised.
When the Olympic games become known who is hosting and the other stuff it does (am a great believer it should stay in Greece but that’s a debate for another day about IOC corruption) there is an insane amount of hype built into the marketing which successfully causes quite a lot of people to attend or watch it. The problem with this is that the Paralympic suffers from this as by the time the Olympics is over the hype is over and if it was shown before the Olympics people still would not be interested as the hype is built over the Olympics.
If I ever had a passion in life it would be education and the gift of both learning and teaching – it’s why I am a massive fan of edX and currently been doing a course called “Judaism Through Its Scriptures”.
Now with this passion I have been involved in pretty much most of the stages of academia – I have been a student in Further & Higher Education, I have taught at Higher Level Education, I have been a teaching assistant at a few of those levels and I have noticed a major problem that happens and it’s to do with exams.
