This parent obviously thought that because her son is only a kid, that it has absolutely no meaning because she thinks her child doesnt understand its a bad word. And she had a go at you for swearing back because your an adult that knows its a bad word, which of course I believe isnt really fair at all.

The parent would also just say that her son learns those words at school, but in my opinion, that is one of the worst excuses I have ever heard, and it shouldnt be used.

Personally, I would of sweared back at the kid aswell, infact there are a few times that I can recall that happening.

The next part is time. You would work out if you had time to do so. Even the most helpful person might not have time to do something and when that happens, then they might not be able to do so. In that case, could you say they don’t care ?

This is not strictly true,

It is all the matter of priorities.

If some one is important to me then I drop something else to help that person, as simple as that...... but then I am getting something out if it, I am helping a person who matters to me and putting that person before everything else, even before myself...

----------

and regarding the kid, I would not swear at a pre-school kid or an under 6-7 even if it was swearing at me, most probably at that age, they won't even fully understand what they are saying only know that it gets them attentions (many times a negative attention is better than no attention)
I would not mind swearing at a 8+ kid though if it started at me, at that age they should know better, and if a parent started at me, I would tell them what I think about their parenting skills too......
