Reasons why domains shouldn’t use two nameservers

Man, there is one thing I hate and that is where a domain I use goes down and the thing I really hate is when it goes down due to a basic setup of DNS with just two nameservers.

Not many people might not know, but there is an e-mail service known as “Rex.co.il” which I have used for reasons not to be explained but as of today, it went down. The reason it went down is

ns1.datanin.net.   ['212.25.111.139'] (NO GLUE)   [TTL=86400]
dns.edcsim.com.   ['212.25.111.129'] (NO GLUE)   [TTL=86400]

Both of those nameservers refused to give any records for the domain rex.co.il. When this happens, it typically means that the nameservers went down however, I didn’t leave it there and decided to see if it did actually went down. The e-mail service is powered by everyone.net and is owned by Dot web services,

Everyone.net hasn’t went down as I used that myself for another domain so that ain’t the issue. As shown above, the issue lays with the DNS however if you notice, the Dot web services site isn’t down. I notice this too so I had a look at their DNS.

ns2.datanin.net.   ['212.25.111.129'] (NO GLUE)   [TTL=86400]
ns1.datanin.net.   ['212.25.111.139'] (NO GLUE)   [TTL=86400]

While a min, you notice something ?

Thats right, it uses the exact same servers (just uses different hostnames for ns2) however it is up. So, this means just a few things. The first is that there is a techincal error and for some reason, the rex.co.il was deleted in the DNS, they are working on the DNS record, they are moving the domain to another DNS or that rex.co.il has closed down and they have removed the record.

Naturally, I will keep you updated on this and ya, the title is mis-leding for a reason.
