And who said Linux CLI can’t do everything
I am not sure if you know, but Linux is an operating system that was based on UNIX and during it’s time, a GUI was developed for it. However, unlike other operating systems like Windows, Linux carried on developing the CLI along side with the GUI.
As you know, Linux is opensource (If anyone here tells me that Linux should actually be called GNU/Linux, please just close this browser now, I don’t care
) and therefore anyone can add to it. Over time where the internet and tech changed wit the likes of video, the CLI didn’t change and there wasn’t a need to as the GUI could make this possible.
As you might know that you can play videos in Linux CLI (mplayer – Google it for more information) but someone has went a bit further. Now, you can play YouTube in the CLI. Now, until it gets intergated into the Lynx browser there isn’t much use for it but regardless, enjoy the video below.
